PastorDarrell My name is Darrell Gustafson and this web site, TheCarpenterCo.com is an effort to use the name of this construction company of 30 years to honor the Lord in its retirement. Our God gave this business to us so we could serve Him and to prepare us for further full time Christian service.

This business, of 30 years, was named after “The Carpenter” (The Lord Jesus Christ). The purpose of this web site is to give real life stories of how God used a willing servant, the Bible and the Holy Spirit to change people that he was calling out of the darkness of sin into the glorious light of his son(Jesus Christ). Maybe through reading how God changed others, some may see theirselves and start seeking after God. PR 8:17 I love those who love me,and those who seek me find me.

All Glory is to be given to God (Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit) by whose power men and women are changed forever.

This name, The Carpenter Co., gave me numerous opportunities to talk to people about Jesus Christ. Such as, when going to suppliers to purchase materials, they would ask for my company name on their computer. They would say, we cannot find Carpenter Co. Yes it is there, look under T for The Carpenter Co. They found it and would usually ask, why The in front. I would say I am glad you asked, because the name is not the same without it. Jesus was The Carpenter and not just a carpenter. I then would procede to teach them as much as I could about Christ without taking away from their jobs because I knew I would be back again to teach them more. I would remember where I had left off with each person over a period of time. There were probably times when I might be trying to teach 50 little d disciples (learners) all over the valley. This would include customers and employees. I would teach them what I could about God and Christ and pray that the Holy Spirit would make Big D disciples out of them. The stories to follow are a product of that effort.
Many have called, even years later, to let me know that God had worked in their hearts and lives and that I had pointed them to the one true God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ who could deal with there sin.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
